Short version: Rei collects almost nothing. Your financial data never leaves your browser. We don't track you, we don't sell anything, and we don't use cookies.

Rei is a client-side calculator. Every number you enter - income goals, monthly expenses, hourly rates, working hours - is processed entirely in your browser. None of it is sent to our servers, stored in a database, or transmitted anywhere. When you close the tab, the data is gone. We never see it, and we couldn't retrieve it even if someone asked us to.
This is by design, not by accident. Your financial information is personal. We built Rei so that using it requires zero trust in us with your data - because we never touch it.
We use your browser's localStorage for one thing: remembering your theme preference (light or dark mode). That's it. No personal information, no session data, no calculator inputs. You can clear it anytime through your browser settings with no impact on how Rei works.
If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address for one purpose: sending you monthly rate advice, market updates, and new tool announcements. That's the full list.
We will never share, sell, rent, or trade your email address with any third party - no exceptions, no "trusted partners," no fine print that says otherwise. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email, and we'll remove your address promptly.
Rei does not use cookies. We do not run third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no Hotjar, no Mixpanel). We do not load advertising networks, tracking pixels, retargeting scripts, or any code that follows you across the internet. There is nothing on our site that watches what you click, how long you stay, or where you go next.
We load Google Fonts (Montserrat) for typography. This means your browser makes a request to Google's font servers when you visit Rei. Google's own privacy policy governs how they handle that request. Beyond font delivery, no other third-party services are embedded on our pages.
Because we don't collect personal data beyond optional newsletter subscriptions, our security surface is minimal by design. The newsletter email addresses we do hold are stored securely, never exposed publicly, and accessible only to the Rei team for the sole purpose of sending the newsletter.
Rei is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has subscribed to our newsletter, we will delete their email address immediately.
If we update this policy, we'll post the revised version on this page with a new "last updated" date. If a change is significant - for example, if we ever start collecting new types of data - we'll announce it through our newsletter and on the site before it takes effect. Continued use of Rei after a posted update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
